Position Overview:

The creative, strategy driven marketing team at TechSmith is seeking a Graphic Design Intern with a drive to learn the ins and outs of the field of marketing and graphic design. As a Graphic Design Intern at TechSmith, you will have a chance to work on a wide variety of projects that span across multiple departments. As an added bonus, you’ll have the opportunity to put your design skills to good use, working on projects for both print and web.

The Graphic Design Intern will work alongside seasoned marketers providing real-world experience within the field of marketing at a leading technology firm. Showcase your creativity as well as build your personal portfolio in a fun and exciting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, draft, and finalize needed graphics while working with stakeholders throughout the design process
• Communicate project details with stakeholders and other team members
• Collaborate with marketing video producers, writers, product managers, and other stakeholders to meet goals and optimize any campaigns performance
• Gain experience in creating graphics for large and small print materials as well as designing for implementation on the web
• Create content that adheres to TechSmith’s style guide
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Background:

• Background or experience in graphic design
• You must be enrolled as a full-time student to be considered for an internship with TechSmith Corporation
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver
• Ability to communicate effectively through writing and visual design
• Must be able to learn new software quickly
• Need to work well independently and in groups, inside and outside of the department
• Ability to give and receive detailed feedback
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• During school you must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per work, maximum of 28 hours per week

Preferred Skills & Background:

• Background or experience in web design is a plus
• Experience with screen video capture and production
• Experience with live recording, screen recording and animation video styles

Compensation and Perks:

Competitive pay based on skills and experience. This is an hourly position with TechSmith Corporation. Hours are based on a consensus between you and your supervisor. We require a minimum of 15 hours per week, however hours are limited to 28 hours per week.
