Position Overview:
As an Engineer at TechSmith, you'll be putting your problem solving skills and passion for developing great software to use every day. You’ll work within a team that builds world-class software products and applications in a fun, fast-paced environment. If you love technology, finding solutions, and making people happy—you’ll fit right in. Please note, there are also other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles and processes
- Demonstrable experience developing for Microsoft Windows/RT/Phone, Mac OS X/iOS, Android, ChromeOS, and/or web services and applications
- Experience developing shared services for cloud based platforms, ideally using Microsoft Azure
- Self-motivated and able to collaborate with a diverse set of people from many disciplines
- Ability to lead when appropriate and step back when necessary to help teams through triages, issues, and hard decisions
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa, such as an H-1B visa. TechSmith does not intend to file any visa applications in connection with this opening.
Preferred Skills and Background:
- Commercial software development experience with multimedia programming or web services
- User interface design
- Database design & administration
- Fluency in a foreign language
