Software Engineer Intern

Position Overview:

As a Software Engineer Intern at TechSmith, you will be part of a team that serves up leading edge software products, including Snagit, Camtasia Studio, and Coach's Eye. You’ll be able to explore emerging technologies in an agile, collaborative, and user-centered environment that develops software and services for millions of users per month. If you are a customer-centric, passionate developer who feels strongly about building world-class software and wants to gain experience in a fun and exciting environment, we’d like to talk to you.  

Required Skills and Background:

  • Requires at least 15 hours per week, maximum of 28 hours per week
  • A proven passion for creating software with excellence and innovation
  • Familiarity of software engineering principles and the software development process
  • Familiar with either Visual Studio tools, C++, C#, and the Microsoft Windows environment or Xcode tools, Objective-C, Swift, and the Mac OS X environment
  • Self-motivated and able to collaborate with a diverse set of people from many disciplines
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • You must be enrolled full-time in classes in order to be considered for an internship with TechSmith Corporation

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Commercial software development with multimedia programming or web services
  • User interface design experience a plus
  • Experience using WPF to create Windows user interfaces
  • Using web technologies (e.g. .NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript)
  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus

Compensation and Perks:

Competitive pay based on skills and experience. This is an hourly position with TechSmith Corporation. Hours are based on a consensus between you and your supervisor. We require a minimum of 15 hours per week, however hours are limited to 28 hours per week.
