Retreat Coordinator
Position
Purpose
Reporting
directly to the Director of Retreat Ministries, this position is responsible
for the event coordination of GENEVA's hosted retreats from
initial contracting through invoicing.
Responsibilities:
- Write
contracts, follow through communication and invoicing retreats and events
- Coordinate and communicate with internal departments surrounding site use for retreats and programmed events
- Coordinate retreat menus
- Coordinate housekeeping with the
Housekeeping Coordinator
- Assist in responding to retreat
inquiries and provide site tours
- Host retreat groups Monday-Friday
during normal business hours
- Maintain the retreat database
- Assist in the development,
communications, scheduling, training, and oversight of the hospitality team
- Assist with GENEVA sponsored events
coordination and oversight
- Available to work flexible hours to meet ministry needs
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by GENEVA leadership
Experience/Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to the Christian
faith
- Engagement in a local church
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality,
communications, or related field
- Minimum two years administrative
support or event planning experience required
- Demonstrate organizational skills &
attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to think
strategically in implementing successful events
- Excellent oral and written
communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and plan multiple
events simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel,
and Outlook
- Ability to learn, manage, and organize
GENEVA’s CRM database software
- Demonstrate strong customer service
skills with high-energy and a friendly attitude
- Demonstrate leadership skills with a
collaborative approach
- Ability to work independently and on a
team with others
