Non-Profit Management and Global Health Fellowship, Student Chapter Development

Timmy Global Health is looking for 2 Nonprofit Management and Global Health Fellows specializing in Student Chapter Development for the 2017-2018 year. The Nonprofit Management and Global Health Fellowship is designed to provide a former Timmy student leader or other emerging global health/nonprofit leader with an opportunity to deepen their contribution to, and understanding of, the nonprofit world through a competitive, stipend-based, yearlong fellowship at Timmy Global Health’s headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. The Fellowship furthers Timmy’s mission while fostering valuable skills in nonprofit management, program development and evaluation, project management, fundraising, global health and international development. The Fellowship is open to former Timmy Global Health student chapter members, graduating seniors, and recent graduates who have demonstrated a significant commitment to effecting tangible, positive change in the global health/nonprofit world.

Job Requirements and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate for the Timmy Global Health Fellowship has demonstrated that s/he:
  • Is detail-oriented and highly organized 
  • Is able to juggle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Is entrepreneurial and a self-starter 
  • Is energetic with an optimistic personality 
  • Has a strong work ethic 
  • Has a passion for global health, nonprofit work, and Timmy 
  • Has a passion for working with college students 
  • Is confident working both independently and with a team 
  • Has familiarity with Microsoft Office 
  • Has a sense of humor and a flexible personality 
  • Has strong communications skills, both written and verbal 
  • Has a high level of maturity to work in a constantly changing and challenging environment 
Preferred:
  • Former Timmy Global Health Chapter member (high school or college) or other chapter experience, ideally with an international service organization (i.e. Global Brigades, GlobeMed, MedLife, Building Tomorrow) 
  • Experience leading groups or teams
  • Intermediate Spanish or above 
  • Familiarity with social media, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign, and video editing software 
  • Experience with event management and fundraising
