Summer Intern US Equity Team

BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPP IP) is one of the largest asset management firms in the world.  BNPP IP offers a diverse range of investment management strategies to institutional clients in the U.S. through our affiliates, including Fischer Francis Trees & Watts. Our clients include central banks, official institutions, corporations, pension plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments, and mutual funds.  In the U.S. we have offices in Boston, Chicago and New York. We have an excellent summer internship opportunity with the US Equities team in our Boston office. This person will be work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to review industry information.  

 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the US Equity Team members performing fundamental equity analysis and investment related ad hoc projects. 
  • Responsibilities may include researching company/industry fundamentals, providing financial and market data, and/or modeling of financial statements. Ad hoc responsibilities may also include assisting with the development of screens to search for sales/earnings inflections, macro scenarios, and factor exposures such as value, quality, and growth. 
  • Research potential regulatory and policy changes stemming from the recent change in administration and the financial impact on various sectors and companies. 
  • Assist with quarterly earnings analysis of companies owned by the team.
  • Attend morning and weekly US Equity Team meetings.

Academic Background and Experience

  • Candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other related field.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity about finance, economics and equity markets. Strong interest and/or experience in fundamental equity investing. Progress toward the CFA is a plus.
  • Strong academic background. Experience in financial markets is ideal.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of databases is a plus.
