Director Communications & Marketing

Lansing-based Michigan Retailers Association (MRA), the largest state retail association in the nation, seeks Director Communications & Marketing. This position is a great fit for someone who can wear many hats and is experienced, creative, detail-oriented and not afraid of a lot of challenging and fun work. It involves writing and editing, creating brand-building strategies and special events, conducting public and media relations, and producing marketing, membership and advocacy materials. It includes production of the bimonthly Michigan Retailer and weekly ebulletins, plus oversight of multiple websites and social media campaigns. It includes supervision of the Association’s Buy Nearby campaign, Legacy Scholarship program and Michigan Retail Index.  

A college degree is required. Experience in one or more of the following or related fields is a must: journalism, marketing, public relations, state government. Salary is based on experience and talent. Excellent benefits include profit-sharing and 401(k). MRA provides a positive, supportive environment.
