Position Requirements
• GD&T understanding is critical • General coordinate measuring machine (CMM) knowledge • Programming in Silma (Metrologic’s offline software) is a must • Understanding of Dimensional Measurement and Interface Standard (DMIS) • Understanding of Metrologic XG online software Job Description 1. Ensure management of CMM resources to effectively support current production & new product programs by: • Ensuring metrology and GD&T expertise provided for DPARs • Ensuring metrology and GD&T expertise to support current production issues • Ensuring existing CMM programs are kept up to date with the latest print revisions • Ensuring new weldments will have CMM programs created and ready when parts are to be qualified • Ensuring active management and prioritization of CMM workflow to ensure timely completion of any parts submitted for inspection based on business priority (avoiding potential line down situation, meeting PDP program timelines, executing Internal Weldment Control Plans and quality issue investigations) • Ensuring timely communication of CMM results and appropriately dispositioned in a timely manner • Working with Weld or Design Engineers to understand upcoming priorities and needs to determine when overtime or additional support is needed to support PDP program launches or other special events. • Maintain internal weldment control plan schedule and ensure execution and followup • Working with Weld or Design Engineers to understand fixturing and determine best measurement methods 2. Ensuring effective execution of Calibration Processes Ensuring that the CMM team provides efficient and effective production support and issue resolution for calibrated torque tools by: • Ensuring rapid response to the line • Effective resolution by recalibrating, or providing a calibrated backup tool • Communicating action taken to close communication loop • Maintaining the calibration schedule to accommodate production schedules • Ensuring equipment is calibrated to schedule and that the appropriate corrective action is taken on any tools found to be out of spec and documented in NCCA • Planning, coordinating and maintaining requirements, timeline, scheduling, supplier POs, and tracking of costs for External calibration needs 3. Metrology expert • Act as Turf Care representative in Corporate CoP to understand upcoming challenges, technologies, software changes, etc… 4. Manage Nonconforming Material Process • Ensure effective execution of Nonconforming Material process • Ensure roadblocks are removed • Ensure efficient and effective processing of QNotes Hours typically M-F 7am-4pm and Metatarsal safety boots required for 1st day
