Today's retail environments are more competitive and challenging than ever. To separate TEKTON from other tool brands, we need to create truly dynamic, engaging, and impressive retail presentations. This is the challenge that defines the Account Manager position at Tekton—not maximizing sales to retailers for the sake of sales, but partnering with them to develop innovative end-user focused experiences. An Account Manager usually works with higher-profile, higher-volume accounts and must demonstrate excellent judgment, vision, and design skills.
An Account Manager needs to be fast, effective, and comfortable with a range of technologies in order to become proficient with our CRM and ERP systems. The person in this position will become an industry expert and TEKTON ambassador who talks in great detail about our company, brand, and products. It’s important that he or she has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can clearly and convincingly articulate ideas when speaking or writing.
Role Responsibilities:
Commits to deeply understanding the TEKTON brand and its ongoing development as well as our competitors’ brands and products, the tool industry, and retail trends
Demonstrates a sense of vision and design for turning retail spaces into hand tool destinations
Develops, grows, markets, and promotes retailers’ TEKTON hand tool programs
Develops and maintains strong relationships with our current and potential customers
Travels as needed and, at times, works long or irregular hours to complete projects
Education: B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience
