Junior Associate

Do you think the decisions we take and actions we make today can change the world?

Do you believe business and capital markets can be a powerful force for good?

Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced social enterprise start-up?

The ImPact headquartered in New York City, is focused on improving the probability and pace of solving big social problems by increasing the flow of capital to investments generating measurable social impact.

The ImPact is a membership network of family enterprises (family offices, foundations, and businesses) who are committed to making investments with measurable social impact. The organization is supported by a group of founding members including Justin Rockefeller, Liesel and Ian Pritzker-Simmons, the Case Foundation, Omidyar Network, and Sorenson Foundation.

The vision of The ImPact is based on several core beliefs:

    1.     The world’s social and environmental challenges affect all of us. The world’s increasing interconnectedness means local problems can have global implications, and vice versa.

    2.     Big problems require bold action. We can’t solve problems just by talking; we must act boldly, decisively, creatively, and collaboratively to generate positive impact.

    3.     We need to use all the tools in our belt to solve big problems. By improving flow of capital to businesses generating social impact, we can attract the best talent and technologies to solve social problems. Talent follows capital, and capital follows talent.

    4.     Profit and social impact are not mutually exclusive. Impact investments can generate competitive financial return and measurable social impact.

    5.     Families should play a leading role. Families and individual wealth owners have the passion, dedication, resources, and connections to develop the impact investing ecosystem.

    6.     We should—and now can—learn from the experiences of others. By building relationships, sharing data, and working collaboratively, we can learn what works (and what does not) in values-aligned investing to solve global problems.

The ImPact’s mission is to provide family enterprises with the knowledge and network to make more impact investments more effectively. The ImPact offers three primary services to members:

1) Education: We curate educational content and experiences designed to inspire and support family enterprises in developing their impact investing practices.

2) Data: Through a pro bono partnership with addepar.com, a silicon-valley financial technology company, our members track, analyze, and share with one another financial performance and social impact data from their investments.
