Investment Analyst, Private Equity
SWIB is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Private Markets & Funds Alpha Division. The Investment Analyst will assist the Portfolio Manager and Senior Managing Analyst in performance analysis and portfolio administration for the Private Equity Co-Investments Portfolio.
Essential activities:
Work with Portfolio Manager and Senior Managing Analyst to:
- Manage and track the inflow of investment opportunities and participate in discussions with the Private Equity team regarding new potential co-investments
- Conduct post-closing portfolio company/investment monitoring and support the annual and interim reporting of portfolio performance, strategy and outlook for presentation to senior staff and the Investment Committee
- Conduct investment screening, industry research & market analysis
- Attend relevant advisory board and annual meetings
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related required
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, business, or related field
- Strong analytic/financial modeling skills
- Familiarity with private equity and investments
- A willingness to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

The position requires U.S. work authorization and residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance as needed.
