GLOBALFOUNDRIES, a leading semiconductor design, fabrication and innovation, is searching for a talented and inspired graduate level intern to support the Learning and Organization Development Team with some very exciting projects. Come spend the summer helping us build innovative and progressive programs and practices. We need a bright, organized, curious, fun, analytical and creative individual to figure out some of our burning questions:
Is Our New Performance Management Approach Working?
We launched the “Path to High Performance” late last year and we want to know was is effective? Did our managers and employees think it was easier? Does it help employees know what’s expected of them? Do employees understand what they need to do to reach higher levels of performance? Come help us figure this out. For this project you’ll:
- Gather
feedback on the effectiveness of the process, analyze results, make
recommendations, and present results to HR Leadership Team
- Support Mid
Year Check In communication and roll out (emphasis on career development)
- Participate
in the planning for 2017/2018 cycle
- Assist in
gathering requirements for a new performance and talent software platform
Is There More We Should Do To Develop Our Employees?
We have manufacturing facilities (fabs) all over the world, each of them offering some great programs. Help us determine what programs rock, what we need to offer every employee, and how to make sure that every employee has an awesome plan for developing their skills. For this “Employee Development Campaign” project you’ll:
- Contribute
to the development, marketing, and roll out of employee development resources,
programs, and information
- Assist in
researching career development best practices (internal and external), creating
an enterprise wide philosophy, partnering with local HR teams, and socializing
a career development campaign (i.e. Path to Career Development)
- Incorporate
importance of on-the-job development messaging
Are We Developing Great Leaders?
We rolled out 2 new leadership programs for all 1,500 leaders earlier this year and we want to make sure it rocks. Help us by:
- Conducting
follow up calls with program participants to assess program’s effectiveness
- Supporting the creation and socialization of Leader
Behaviors (competencies) that articulate what a great leadership looks like at
GLOBALFOUNDRIES
- Administering
a Leadership Effectiveness Survey where employees get to rate their bosses
Can We Get Better Technology To Support Employee Learning?
We aren’t happy with some of the systems we have in place now. There’s got to be better, faster, and simpler technology platforms to help our employees get access to what they need to learn and grow. Help us:
- Develop,
market, and roll out new eLearning Provider (online courses, videos, etc)
- Create a
cool and interactive employee development website
Are We As Unified, Developed, and Engaged As We Need To Be?
We are headed on a journey to create a more cohesive, engaged, and highly skilled workforce so that we can be competitive, agile, and successful.
