Cyber Security Threat Analyst (entry level--WILL TRAIN!)

Cyber Threat Research Analyst Graduate Program

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company that was recently awarded Best Cyber Security Company of the Year 2016 by Info Security. We are working with the executive team at Darktrace to help them expand their Cyber Defense technical team through a recent college graduate program, that will provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the rapidly-evolving cyber security industry. You do not need any prior knowledge, just a notable enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 

You will work closely with our analyst team to write and distribute cyber threat reports for Darktrace customers across the world. Your role will be to communicate complex technical details around cyber risk to an executive-level audience. Responsibilities may also include project management of the internal processes around the report-writing cycle.

A technical or cyber security background is not required, as training will be given. We are looking for graduates of top universities who have little to no background in cyber threats and train them to become experts! Our senior 

Qualifications and Skills:

•   Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (2:1 or above (UK) / GPA of 3.1 or above).

•   Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both verbal and written as well as organization and time management skills.

•   Experience and proven ability to work autonomously and in a team in an innovative and fast-paced environment whilst delivering to deadlines. Motivated by independent learning.

•   Enthusiasm for innovation, experimentation and self-development in the cyber security field. 



Training will be given to gain the following experience:

•   Knowledge of networking and security architecture.

•   Experience of cyber security/incident response, security architecture; working towards security certification such as CISSP, GIAC or vendor specific are desirable.

•   Practical experience with network and security devices/systems e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM.

•   Experience of programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby).

•   Hands-on sys admin skills (Linux and Windows) and experience with network and packet analysis using open source technologies.

Career progression through this program could lead being a Security & Threat Analyst, a Cyber Defense Technology Specialist, a Cyber Defense Technical Account Manager and many more areas. The program is open to recent graduates, and those with 1-3 years of junior experience.
