Roadrunner Transportation Systems is seeking to fill a Help Desk position. The purpose of the position is to support the Information Technology needs of Roadrunner’s customers, partners, and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Maintain and support our internal (home-grown) and external (vendor purchased) software
  • Work with our hardware and software vendors to resolve complex issues
  • Log all help desk interactions into the helpdesk ticketing system
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Able to participate fully in the 24 hour on-call rotation.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in helpdesk environment
  • Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
  • Must have working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
  • Knowledge and experience of customer service practices is required.
  • Must be able to communicate internally and externally with terminals, Roadrunner customers, programmers, PC technicians and other business associates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013 is required
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory is required
  • Must be able to work with computer/laptop hardware
  • Must have experience in installing and updating computer software and operating systems
