Android Software Engineer / Developer - TPK America, LLC - Direct or Remote

TPK America is looking for a highly skilled Android Software Engineer / Developer who has the desire to work autonomously and the experience to make their mark! We design, develop and market industrial touch solutions for Fortune 500 companies nationally & internationally, leveraging our international parent company’s strength as the world’s leading supplier of projected capacitive touch solutions. In this position, you will deliver solutions to meet customer expectations and quality standards from conception to delivery.

  • Work onsite in downtown Holland or remotely (5 days/month onsite) – choose what works best for you!

As an Android Software Engineer / Developer, you will:

  • Work on projects from conception to delivery and champion your own ideas
  • Develop and document software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigate problem areas; follow the software development lifecycle
  • Directly work with offshore colleagues (Asia) to support and manage new software projects, customer applications and technical support issues
  • Deliver and support software into the production environment in a timely and robust manner
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for our customers; keep them well informed of the process and timelines for their projects and orders

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering plus 2 – 5 years of professional experience
  • Experience within Android development, its ecosystem, and its intricacies
  • Experience using Android devices daily; Relevant work experience in Java
  • Passion for Android and up to date with platform changes, new features, and new user interactions as they are released by Google
  • Highly motivated with the ability and desire to work autonomously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Presently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
