Security Analyst Internship Summer 2017

Lewan Technology, A Xerox Company, is seeking an ethical, abstract thinker and highly curious Security Analyst Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2017.

As a Lewan Security Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in planning and carry out security measures to protect our organization's computer networks and systems. Your responsibilities are continually expanding as the number of cyberattacks increases.

Development/Coaching:

  • O/S proficiency (Windows, Unix)

  • Network protocols

  • IT chain of custody issues

  • Understanding ethics

  • Corporate policy

  • Computer system services (FTP, Mail, Telnet, SSH, File Sharing)

  • Malicious attacks

  • Identity management directories (AD, UNIX)

  • Routers/switches/firewall

  • Programming (Unix Scripting)

  • IT Forensics

  • Databases (SQL)

  • Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Protection System

  • Investigative processes

Skills:

  • Proficiency using multiple hardware platforms (Windows, Unix, Cisco IOS, Firewalls etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation).

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; willingness to take risks and try new approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Working toward a 4 year degree in CIS, Cyber Security, Security Intelligence from an accredited university or college

  • Previous security analyst experience preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

  • Eagerness to learn and extremely curious.
