Electrical Engineer - Design Engineering

JENSEN HUGHES Power Services Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Design Engineering group in either our Phoenix, AZ office or our Oakbrook Terrace, IL office.  JENSEN HUGHES is a premier nuclear safety and reliability consulting firm. We provide technical support to a wide variety of engineering projects, which range from day-to-day nuclear power plant operation to cutting edge research and development in all areas related to plant safety.

This position involves analyses of power distribution systems, recommending design changes, and creating analysis and design packages for industrial and nuclear facilities. Typical analyses include arc flash, short circuit, protective device coordination, power flow and stability, and electrical component sizing evaluations.  Designs typically involve installation of new motors, MCCs, or breakers.

More senior engineers may also take on Project Management responsibilities for larger projects.  These include client interface, schedule preparation, cost estimating, proposal writing, and monitoring project performance.
