Early Childhood Therapist
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is a professional position providing a wide range of prevention and early intervention services to infants, young children, and their families. The work will involve in-home intervention with at-risk families under the supervision of the Clinical Manager in the Early Childhood and Family Services Division. Service area may include West/Northwest Detroit, Redford and cities in Western Wayne County. This person works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager of the Infant Mental Health Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assessment and treatment planning for infants, young children and their families
Implementation of treatment plans through appropriate interventions
Participation in conferences, training sessions, group supervision, and team meetings
Liaison work with referring hospitals or other service providers
Community consultation
Participation in program development and evaluation

Participation in parent education and support groups, as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MSW/MA with clinical and family experiences. Preference will be given to endorsed Infant Mental Health Specialists or persons with infant or early childhood experience.
Appropriate State of Michigan licensure, required.
Valid MI license and ability to meet agency’s insurance company’s standards for coverage
