Special Education Teacher at Regent Park Scholars Charter Academy (SIGNING BONUS)

National Heritage Academies is seeking a Special Education at Regent Park Scholars Charter Academy located in Detroit, Michigan.

Special Education Teachers are responsible for working with students that experience emotional, learning, and physical disabilities and are eligible for special education programs and services as determined by an IEP committee.

Special Education Teachers will identify students with special needs, organize student caseloads with an effective IEPC system, and establish and implement strategies to deal with disabilities.

NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pull-out services.

Special Education Teachers may also work with at-risk students within the general education population and in the general education classrooms in conjunction with the support they are providing to students with special needs.

Employment with NHA is on an at-will basis. Special Education Teachers are considered regularly scheduled employees and we look forward to their return in the following years.
