POSITION OVERVIEW:

The basic function of the Network Outside Account Executive is to sell and market MidCo Inc.’s VoIP telephony and network products and services to potential corporate, municipal, and industrial clients throughout the Greater Chicagoland area. Working out of MidCo’s suburban Chicago offices in Burr Ridge, IL, (with the ability to work remotely for proven and successful team members), this position combines the best elements of technology sales and low-voltage electrical construction, implementing Voice-Over IP (VoIP) business phone systems (both hosted and on-premises), wireless access point networks, e911, sound masking, and emergency mass notification systems, among a host of other technology platforms.

MidCo's clients represent some of the most-recognized corporate, industrial, educational, and municipal government names in the marketplace today, whether installing systems for major high-rise office towers, sports stadiums, educational institutions, or large suburban office or municipal campuses, MidCo's custom-work approach makes every installation unique and exciting to propose and sell.


Network Account Executives develop a personal sales and marketing plan, prepare client presentations, creating and delivering effective sales presentations and product demonstrations, preparing sales proposals and estimates, pre-engineer projects with manufacturer documents, applications and drawings, work with the Installation and Service Departments to insure effective field operations, and build and enhance customer relationships by providing personalized, outstanding customer service.

This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to go out into the business community to network and search for new business, maintain and expand existing business, and the drive to provide excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will include:

• Create new market share by selling VoIP products and services to new commercial, municipal, and/or industrial customers.

• Log sales prospects and activity using MidCo's CRM software package.

• Generate a minimum of five (5) New VoIP Quotes on a weekly basis.

• Utilize approved marketing materials to assure that the customer understands our value proposition, positive features, benefits and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.

• Follow up with prospects and existing clients.

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers’ issues and needs through in-house training and reading/research.

• Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A two or four-year college degree in fields such as technical sales, electronics, electrical engineering, construction management or sales, computer science, computer engineering, and/or a two-year electronics degree from an accredited institution.

Experience with IP PBX sales would be highly desirable. Knowledge of VoIP equipment and applications, as well as general computer networking principles are highly desirable.

Candidates with other experience or degrees will be considered but those candidates with technical sales experience will be strongly considered.

Individuals must be self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to effectively plan and manage multiple, competing projects. Be accomplished at live presentations of software and other technical solutions.

Candidates should be competent using Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Local candidates only; no relocation package is offered.

Candidates should be able to obtain a Professional Employee Registration Card (PERC), if selected.
