Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst Intern will be responsible for providing finance and accounting support for the Engineering/Procurement controlling functions within HARMAN’s Lifestyle Car Audio Division located in Novi, Michigan

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Job Responsibilities:
 Assist in the budgeting process for the Engineering Team with data entry, tracking and reporting.
 Be responsible for the reporting and tracking of headcount and engineering hours.
 Work with management to identify data extraction and reporting best practices.
 Produce reports from various internal data sources to provide business stakeholders actionable information.
 Perform SAP functions to set up Parts, Projects and funding Projects.
 Assist with the accounting functions for engineering capital spending projects.
 Resolve issues on purchase orders and vendor invoice payment process.
 Maintain Engineering/Procurement Finance Databases/Files.

Basic Qualifications:
 Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited 4-year college or university pursuing a related degree (such as Finance, Accounting, Data Management, Business) and preferably Senior status
 Having taken basic accounting classes
 Strong knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and advanced formulas); PowerPoint; Word
 Passion for learning
 Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
 Effective oral and written communication skills
 Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaborate with teams as needed
 Able to manage multiple tasks operating under strict deadlines

Eligibility Requirements: 
 Willingness to travel to local Michigan office sites as needed
 Willingness to work in an office, in Novi, MI
 Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
