POSITION OVERVIEW:

Working out of MidCo’s suburban Chicago offices in Burr Ridge, IL, the basic function of the Security Junior Project Manager is to is to support Lead Project Manager’s with application engineering, AutoCAD drafting, submittals and project documentation, and any other tasks as assigned to insure that customers are 100% satisfied, have received what they have purchased per their contracted scope of work, and that projects are completed within or under budget, as controlled by the Lead Project Manager. The Junior Project Manager assists assigned Lead Project Managers with the control of timely completion of the work according to the set timelines while focusing on project profit margins and positive cash flow. The Security Junior Project Manager reports directly to the Security Installation Manager.

Assist and support Project Managers with duties and responsibilities as assigned

Manage and control all aspects of assigned projects as directed by Lead Project Managers.

Must be able to successfully manage several projects at one time.

Work with the customers for efficient and timely project coordination, as assigned/delegated by the Project Manager

Create timeline management charts for all assigned projects.

Order, through the Purchasing Department only, equipment for assigned projects, as directed by Lead Project Managers.

Prepare for Lead Project Managers accurate Percentage of Completion reports on all assigned projects.

Assist in project billing and collections as required.

Responsible for estimating and proposing adds, moves and changes to base jobs, as directed by Lead Project Managers.

Schedule and attend job site visits, project meetings, and complete surveys to adequately assist the assigned Lead Project Manager and plan work to completion.

Represent the company in project meetings, as directed and/or assigned by Lead Project Managers.

Work with and, as needed, advise Account Executives regarding assigned projects.

Assist Account Executives with pre and post-sales project management sales support and assistance as necessary.

Prepare preliminary and final submittal documentation for submission to consultant or end-user.

Complete and deliver as-built documentation and drawings to customers at the end of the project, per contracted scope of work, as delegated by the assigned Lead Project Manager.

Must have strong communication, organization and leadership skills.

Follow all OHSA rules and regulations as well as any site-specific safety requirements for every project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be most successful in this role, the applicant will require:

A four-year college degree in fields such as construction project management, electronics, electrical engineering, or project management, and/or a two-year electronics degree from an accredited institution. PMP certification is a plus.

Individuals must be self-motivated, have proven organization skills, an outstanding attention to detail, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a solution oriented individual with the ability to anticipate and manage change under fast-changing conditions.

The Junior Project Manager will possess the ability to effectively plan and manage multiple, competing projects at various stages, from pre-construction to closeouts, create and generate charts and project-related reporting as assigned, be accomplished at live presentations and other technical solutions are also highly desirable.

AutoCAD experience and proficiency is highly desirable.

Candidates should be able to obtain a Professional Employee Registration Card (PERC), if selected.
