Engineering Manager
This position will contribute to a fast paced and growing team responsible for the development, testing, and continued improvements of facilities utilizing various DCS platforms and PLC platforms.
The position will be management level and leadership part of the engineering team on all aspects of the automation process as well as continuing improvements for maximizing production. The successful candidate will develop strategy and supervise tasks in an effort to ensure consistent quality and adequate training levels are reached with subordinates. The role requires solid technical skills, including electronic knowledge, ability to understand process and speak with clients, debugging and troubleshooting skills as well as wiring systems. However an emphasis will be placed on leadership qualities such as Project Management, ability to spot training needs, and knack for motivating employees.
Position will be responsible for developing a team that provides a high quality service in a consistent manor by championing Direct Automation’s core values while monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews and recommend drawings, lists and specifications relative to instrumentation and process control.
- Applies continuous improvement and lessons learned to improve future results.
- Communicating with process engineers and clients.
- Overseeing how employees do the procurement of parts and subcontractors.
- Site start-up support of integrated control systems.
- Strategy development that is consistent with Direct Automation’s core values.
