POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform any of a variety of public health, home visits, clinic nursing activities to improve the health outcomes of pregnant women and their infants.
 
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION:
·        Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Associate Degree.
·        Current registration as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan
·        Minimum of three (3) years of current nursing experience with at least two (2) years of experience providing community health community health, pediatric, and/or maternal/infant nursing services;   
                                                            OR
·        Master or Bachelor degree of Nursing and at least one year experience providing community health, pediatric or/or maternal/infant nursing services.
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Prior to starting employment, the candidate must complete a satisfactory background check. The background check is understood to encompass all forms of pre-employment screening, including but not limited to: drug screen, physical, criminal background, driving record, sex offender registry, education, training and licensing verification, employment history, credit check, and professional and personal references.
  • Must possess a valid State of Michigan operator license and maintain this license throughout employment in this position.
·        Must have reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance.
·        Required to report to duty when called upon in the event of a Public Health Emergency regardless of declaration.
