If so, the position Head of Logistics is for you.

Gelato seeks a passionate, results-oriented, analytical person to join our Operations team. In this position, you will be responsible for expanding our global network of shipping suppliers, analyzing and identifying improvements to complex supply chain problems, pursuing strategic initiatives and driving innovation projects across our expanding Network. Successful candidates will have the attitude of a data detective combined with strong analysis skills, prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery. This is a highly visible role that requires partnering with software development, product owners, print partners and shipping suppliers to impact Gelato’s growth and global reach. You must have the experience and capability to create and present documentation for executives and align your roadmap with Gelato’s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

GELATO OPERATIONS

Gelato Network is an efficient order fulfillment platform for the global print industry, streamlined production and integrated logistics. We have the ambition to disrupt the printing industry, in the same way as Uber is disrupting transportation.

We are reaching more than 1 billion customers within 48-72 hours delivery, and you will be part of the team improving and scaling the network. Our vision is to connect digital print presses all over the world and deliver with the best customer experience and minimize number of production mistakes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner Relations. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new shipping suppliers. Manage development, identify & attack problem areas for customers related to shipping
  • Identify the biggest opportunities to optimize customer shipments (delivery accuracy, speed & cost)
  • Lead analysis, develop models and reports to drive key strategic decisions
  • Develop and improve approaches to audit supply chain performance (accuracy, volatility, efficiency, optimality)
  • Identify opportunities to deliver changes in supply chain performance, or based on innovative analysis
  • Analyze financial impacts and prioritize new shipping products based on their relevance
  • Research, evaluate and roll-out new shipping solutions, software, tools or process improvements

WHAT YOU´D NEED TO KNOW AND HAVE

  • 3+ years of logistic/supply chain management experience and/or project management experience
  • Strong attention-to-detail, excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and thrives in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a changing landscape with an evolving set of priorities
  • In this role you must be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, love solving problems and thriving in a startup culture
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Team player with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in various locations
  • A track record of problem solving and creativity in finding/designing new solutions and innovative methods, using software systems and the desire to create and build new processes
  • Strong academic records with a Master degree
  • All candidates should be business-fluent in English
