Graduate Student Worker – Global Risk Intelligence

Since 1984, Synectics has been committed to aligning talented professionals with jobs they find challenging and fulfilling.  We are currently seeking college students to work for our client, McDonald’s, during the summer of 2017.  Resumes must reflect GPA, extra-curricular activities, and relevant coursework and/or work history.  All applicants must be able to work onsite in Oak Brook, IL for the duration of the assignment. 

Tasks / Responsibilities the resource will be responsible to execute:

  • The position, which reports to the Manager of Global Risk Intelligence, is responsible for the collection, analysis, production, and dissemination of critical and time-sensitive information of relevance to the safety and security of company personnel and the organization’s global assets and operations.
  • Operational requirements range from routine monitoring of open-source and proprietary information sources in support of global risk monitoring support for corporate security, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders.
  • The main project and focus of this internship is helping lead the research and analysis of the economic impacts of geopolitical crises around the globe.

 Requirements:

  • BA in Humanities, Intelligence, Law, Journalism, International Relations or related field.
  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Must possess strong analytical and oral presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Web-based search tools, applications, and communication technology (ICT) is required.
  • Must be actively pursuing a graduate degree in a field related to the internship.  All candidates must be enrolled to attend classes in the Fall 2017 semester.
  • Must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
