Certified Public Accountant

Mattina, Kent & Gibbons, PC, a growing CPA firm, is looking for a CPA candidate that wants to grow personally and professionally with the right organization. With over a combined 50 years in business our company has expanded to a staff of 36 with two locations servicing a diverse client base. Strong personal skills, flexibility, quality of life, technology strength and leadership aspirations are all skills embraced and supported by our company. This position requires the candidate to be client focused supporting each client with care and concern and assisting them with recommendations for better accounting and tax planning. Our staff is well rounded not only concentrating on one area of public accounting, but skilled in all areas of accounting, tax, technology, audit, corporate and individual tax planning.

 

Professional Skills and Qualifications:

·         Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting

·         Must possess or be in the process of obtaining CPA license

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing corporate, partnership and individual tax returns is preferred

·         Audit experience is a plus but not required

·         Strong client relationship skills

·         Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills

·         Ability to interact positively in a professional manner with coworkers and clients

·         Above average knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·         Knowledge of electronic work papers is preferred but not required

·         “Out of the Box” thinking skills

·         Interested, passionate and willing to get involved in the community where you work and live

·         Experience with Creative Solutions and Ultra Tax software preferred but not required

·         Available to work additional hours during busy season
