ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique opportunity for a talented recruiter with a lot of ambition to join a fast-growing technology company. You will work closely with the founder and the executive team to build a Global Talent Acquisition Strategy while simultaneously creating a full program and process around Talent Lifecycle Management. A serious amount of thought has gone into defining this role and the expectations are very high. A rigorous and creative individual is required to build the Talent Management organization.

When you join the company, expectations will focus on quickly ramping up recruitment in order to hire 40 people in the first nine months. You realize this is a great challenge, but you are excited to exceed expectations. We have laid the groundwork by establishing a strong employer brand and implementing some recruiting processes. You will need to help us improve the processes in place, make them scalable, and build on our reputation so we end up with a world class Talent Acquisition and Management program. When it comes to recruitment, you are a master of sourcing. You know where to find and how to attract the right candidates. Beyond daily recruitment efforts, Gelato would like you to build a continuous pipeline. It’s simply not enough to recruit for open roles. A talent community must be developed and nurtured for forward thinking and opportunistic recruiting. You will need to build a recruitment process that is aggressive and fast moving allowing the company to leverage advantages in a very competitive hiring environment.

In addition to all of your recruitment responsibilities, we want you to take this position a step further and take ownership of the complete Talent Lifecycle. We will count on you to build a Talent Lifecycle program including all processes and methodologies. You will look at how to implement a complete performance management process that takes into the account the values of the company and embed this into the hiring, onboarding and evaluation of employees. You will be able to work with management to grow and develop the organization and take on any responsibilities in the Talent Management function. You might not know all the answers today, but that’s ok. Gelato is looking for someone who has some of the answers but also realizes you will need to learn and find answers to new challenges. You don’t know it all, but you know how to figure things out.

To summarize, we’re looking for someone up and coming in the Talent community. We are more interested in your mindset than your experience. We want someone who has the talent to become a leading and respected Talent Director. We want you to bring diverse experience from cutting edge companies. Most of all, we want you to create new ways to attract and manage new talent, breaking new ground in your field. We are incredibly ambitious and will accept no less from our future Talent Director.
