2017 Summer Mentorship at the Cleveland Clinic
The American Center for Reproductive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic has an exciting summer mentorship opportunity for highly motivated, academically-oriented medical or undergraduate students and recent medical graduates interested in exploring a career in medicine and/or medical research.

The program's goal is to encourage students to consider a career in medicine, whether in the reproductive sciences or any other specialty of their choosing. To this end, we have designed the summer mentorship to offer students early exposure to a wide range of high quality professional experiences. During this intense seven-week program, participants will:
Learn the art of scientific writing through research articles, systematic reviews and/ or invited book chapters in the field of reproductive endocrinology, assisted reproduction and/ or male & female infertility | |
Learn to conduct hands-on bench research on interesting and cutting edge translational research projects in a real laboratory setting | |
Learn the art of public speaking and scientific presentations | |
Participate in daily lectures and group discussions; weekly research meetings and presentations |
Through the mentorship and guidance received throughout the program, students will develop an understanding of how reproductive research is conducted. Participants will also learn how to:
Perform a variety of bench research techniques | |
Research and write-up on a scientific research topic of interest | |
Prepare and present PowerPoint talks at research conferences | |
Present research results in departmental meetings | |
Hone their public speaking and presentation skills |
