Position Summary:
30% Supervise Instrument
Management System (IMS) staff, including daily work assignments, time-off
requests and approval, yearly performance programs and evaluations, and
training of new staff. Provide direct assistance to IMS Staff as needed
15% Maintain, manage and update A-Star instrument bar coding system and
content, and train IMS staff on clinic management and A-Star computer systems
10% Order supplies for IMS operations, and assisting Director of Clinical
Operations with ordering
10% Coordinate repair of dental handpieces and other dental instruments and
equipment
5% Maintain anesthesia records and reports, and coordinate expired products
quarterly report and disposal
5% Manage IMS student & Faculty Practice billing and accounts receivable
operation and follow-up
5% Maintain current digital images of instrument cassettes. Reformat digital
camera cards
5% Liaison with OIR Staff regarding Clinic Management System changes, upgrades,
etc.
5% Purchase and maintain Inventory of ADEX and other licensing exam supplies;
billing functions of same; assist in preparation and management of same on exam
days
5% Maintain inventory of Ortho special training kits
5% Assist Director of Clinical Operations in Compliance, Infection Control,
Quality Assurance and other training functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate's degree is required, and 1 to 3 years of directly related experience within a dental school or large dental practice is required. An incumbent with a Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience is acceptable. Supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Salary Range: $39,403 to $42,000
FTE: 1.00
