Case Analyst I

Job Description

Location: Nashville, TN

Travel: None

Remote Work Option: No

Temporary Position: YES

Duration: Through April 30, 2017

Job Description:

Must be flexible to work between the hours of 8am – 8pm

The Case Analyst I will be part of a team empowered to reconcile data from a number of proprietary data sources, and subsequently tasked with the responsibility to follow defined Standard Operating Procedures to remediate address corrections and reprint requests for both consumers and health insurance issuers. Although hands-on training will be provided by veteran members within the data intake team, it is essential that each analyst be able to work independently, maintaining the confidentiality of the information they come into contact with.

Furthermore, it is imperative that a successful Case Analyst I candidate be proactive, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate great initiative as a majority of the cases he/she will be tasked with analyzing contain conflicting information, and will necessitate an extreme attention to detail. While the Case Analyst team will focus primarily on a defined sub-set of cases (Mailing Address Updates and Simple Reprint Cases), a successful Case Analyst I candidate will work in a coordinated effort with the rest of the team to ensure each case is handled and addressed properly.

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Identifying and remediating consumer issues related to securing correct and complete address information
  • Applying appropriate research and technical knowledge in order to resolve outstanding issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Understanding and following escalation criteria to forward complex cases to Case Analyst 2 teams
  • Undertaking any other additional duties as assigned by their Manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, with a working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act desired
  • Be able to prepare and maintain detailed records and reports
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must have accurate keyboarding skills
