Instructional Design Consultant: High School Mobile Learning

Seeking Mobile Learning Instructional Design consultant with expertise in mobile learning design for high school students  to support the design of new mobile learning features. This consultant will provide recommendations, input and feedback to product management, content development and UI/UX to ensure these new mobile learning features are engaging and deliver results for middle school students. Deliverables to include:  

  • List of UI/ UX requirements for high school students
  • Written feedback on UI mockups and prototype
  • Outline of recommended approach for packaging of course content, creation of quizzes and practice problem sets, and progress tracking approach
  • Documented gamification strategy with defined implementation phases and requirements, with a focus on Phase 1/ MVP
  • Outline prototype test sessions with high schoolers
  • List of data collection requirements to support progress tracking approach, gamification, and predictive content recommendation engine
  • Documented instructional design approach for at least three new micro learning activities geared toward high schoolers 

The right candidate will offer some of these qualifications:

  • At least five-years experience designing multimedia self-paced learning courses, with at least two years focused on mobile learning. Preference given to experience designing mobile learning games.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and design model
  • Experience designing learning products for high school students
  • Knowledge of middle school common core or other academic standards
  • Solid knowledge of at least one learning management system
  • Examples of project artifacts for the instructional design of a mobile learning game or learning App
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar.
