African Wildlife Research Internship

The Wildlife Research Internship affords interns the opportunity to gain a vast range of skills in order to run a terrestrial research project.

Interns conduct research projects involving different wildlife species, ranging from birds, to insects, to large mammals. Participants are given the opportunity to learn tracking skills and the methods used to approach game on foot. Bush survival skills, snake handling and 4x4 driving are some of the exciting activities you can look forward to.

Interns learn how to operate terrestrial research projects involving different wildlife species, ranging from birds, to insects, to large African mammals. Learn how to approach wildlife on foot, and how to track elusive species. Bush survival training, snake handling and 4x4 driving are some of the activities prospective candidates can look forward to.


Volunteers must be able to speak English, be healthy, and have a love for nature and the outdoors. No experience is required, however, students studying in the field of Fauna and Flora will benefit most.
