PLEASE NOTE: The Mitchellake Group is working onsite at a start-up in Redwood City in a consultant capacity. The are helping recruit for various positions, including a Sr. Accountant, which will located onsite at the OpenGov headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
OpenGov, a fast-growth, venture backed startup is looking for an energetic Senior Accountant who is a self-starter possessing an affinity for SaaS based accounting with a strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, internal controls and systems. The successful candidate will be able to work under deadlines, in a fast-paced environment, and handle multi-tasking responsibilities. This position will require a high degree of self-motivation, excellent organization and communication skills. In this role, you will report to the CFO and work closely with the other accounting team members. The Finance team provides excellent customer service across the Company. Responsibilities
• Revenue Recognition, reconcile ARR, CARR including invoicing customers
• Perform daily support activities, including help manage and track fixed assets with detailed depreciation schedules
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and underlying analysis in areas such as cash, prepaid expenses, deferred charges, fixed assets and accruals
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process
• Perform variance analysis on certain balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist with the annual financial audit
• Support the preparation schedules for various tax returns.
