Program Assistant/Coordinator

Interested in working at a startup? Tiger Tutor, a new ACT/SAT test prep service, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Assistant or Program Coordinator, depending on the person’s experience. We’re looking for someone who is business-savvy, driven, detail-oriented, and interested in helping us build a successful business. This position will be either part-time (25-30 hours per week) or full-time, depending on the candidate. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

●       Conduct recruitment outreach at Chicagoland schools, community events, etc.

●       Interact regularly with and build relationships with community stakeholders, including teachers, school administrators, elected officials, parents, and other partners

●       Work with our team to develop and execute an outreach and marketing strategy

●       Communicate regularly with parents regarding services and student progress

●       Create promotional materials

●       Develop and update internal processes, such as feedback forms, CRM data management, student processes, and more; create Tiger Tutor policy manual

●       Oversee day-to-day logistics of program, such as registering new students, matching students to tutors, enter data into agency’s CRM

●       Regularly update and maintain student files

●       Screen and interview tutor candidates

●       Other duties as assigned by supervisors

 

Conducting tutor trainings and providing regular support to tutors as well as occasionally providing direct tutoring services, if needed, are not required, but are favored.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

●       Bachelor’s Degree required

●       Experience working at a tutoring service highly preferred

●       Ability to work evenings and weekends required

●       Excellent oral and written communication skills

●       Excellent interpersonal skills

●       Ability to work independently

●       Excellent time-management skills

●       Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, preferred but not required

●       Friendly, patient, helpful, and professional demeanor

●       Passionate about Tiger Tutor’s mission and a desire to help learners reach their academic goals
