Maintenance Coordinator

DWM Holdings is seeking the ideal candidate to fill a Maintenance Coordinator position. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for creating a maintenance program and leading technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment in all facilities. This person reports directly to the Production Manager, works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, and is a member of the Production department.

Responsibilities:

•     Develop, implement, and document maintenance program, including preventative maintenance facility plans

•     Ensure that all facilities are structurally sound, mechanically operational, electrically efficient, and safe by planning and scheduling daily and weekly preventative maintenance activities in coordination with the optimal production work flow

•     Support completion of assigned maintenance and repair tasks by monitoring work progress performed by maintenance team, inspecting work performance and providing corrections of any deficiencies as necessary, redirecting work efforts to meet critical and/or necessary work requirements

•     Document and ensure the proper functioning of maintenance in compliance with allocated budgets and purchases

•     Lead problem solving workshops and participate in lean continuous improvement methodologies

•     Prepare weekly fill rate reports and lead team discussion on fill rates

  • Develop and coordinate plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery or buildings
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards
  • Complete all paperwork and/or electronic updates as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree, completion of a technical training program in a maintenance trade equivalent to a minimum of sixty hours of college credit, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in a maintenance trade required
  • Requires journeyman-level skill in building trades or related areas requiring extended training and/or experience and considerable practical knowledge in a trade or technical area, or other skills requiring similar levels of training
  • At least six years of progressively responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial or commercial facilities is required
  • Previous experience with lean thinking and standardization implementation
  • Ability to properly use test equipment, heavy industrial shop tools and equipment, diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions and systems failure
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
  • Able to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas)
