Inventory Control Specialist

SUMMARY

Partner with a third party logistics provider to manage order fulfillment from inbound material through outbound shipments, oversee inventory control processes, and ensure smooth communication between primary distribution center and internal customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Utilize Visual Basic to maintain electronic tools used for data collection and analysis
2. Responsible for collection and communication of relevant warehouse data, i.e. inventory accuracy and order fulfillment metrics
3. Partner with a third party logistics provider to drive continuous improvement
4. Lead assigned projects using lean tools
5. Facilitate meetings via WebEx and in person
6. Review and approve inventory cycle counts on a daily and weekly basis
7. Lead inventory accuracy audits at the primary distribution center on a monthly basis
8. Review and approve scrap and inventory adjustment requests as needed
9.  All other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates degree in related field
• 2-plus years related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards
• Experience in Visual Basic, specifically in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
