Critical Reading and Writing Teacher 

ENREACH is seeking full-time Critical Reading and Writing teachers to be based in high schools in partnership with Dipont Education Management Group and the ENREACH centers in different cities around China. The teacher may be asked to teach in the evenings and on weekends, and the teaching hour will be no more than 26 periods per week, amounting to no more than 40 working hours.

Responsibilities:

·     Teaching Critical Reading and Writing (CRW) courses provided by Enreach at designated client schools and Enreach centers

·     Proactively identify and counsel students to assist them in reaching their goals, while maintaining effective classroom management and creating a positive learning environment by resolving discipline issues and preventing distractions.

·     Assisting in course design and curriculum development.

·     Work closely with program directors and peer instructor for the implementation and revision of the course materials and curriculum.

·     Assisting with recruiting new staff members and training new teachers.

·     General flexibility with regards to schedule changes, program changes, etc.

·     Working in ENREACH’s best interest to help grow the program in a positive and profitable way

Qualifications:

·     Bachelors or Masters in English, History, or other liberal arts Education;

·     Minimum two years full-time teaching experience at primary, middle or high school level;

·     International teaching experience and experience developing drama curriculum preferred;

·     The ability to speak Mandarin is not necessary, but an interest in learning the language & culture is desired.
