Entry Level CAD Operator

Responsibilities

• The position entails drafting and design opportunities on Telecommunication and security projects that include physical layout drawings, as well as installation details and wiring diagrams.
  
• Revise plans per redlines or review comments and communicate with Project Managers / Engineers if needed
  
• Open to learn and complete tasks related to job or assignment
  

Required Education/Experience                                                                        

• 1 to 3 years drafting experience with AutoCAD.
  
• Must feel comfortable using AutoCAD exclusively (all day)
  
• The candidate must have good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members.
  
• Experience working with scales.
  
• Must be organized and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  
• Ability to comprehend company drafting standards and apply them daily.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), PDF software, and Google Earth is highly recommended
  

Desired Education/Experience

• Associates degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree).
  
• Ability to read Construction Documents, or a willingness to learn how to read them.
  
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is beneficial.
  
• Good background in mathematics would be helpful.
