Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for an Exterior Trim Design Engineer at our Farmington Hills, MI location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of Exterior Trim Components such as wipers, body side moldings, cowl covers, O/S mirrors and plastic finishers for new passenger cars and trucks for global markets. Manage and develop exterior trim parts from concept to production, ensuring all performance, quality, timing, and cost requirements are met.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of setting and meeting performance and quality targets, including vehicle and regulatory requirements.
Conduct CAD studies, communicate engineering requirements to the related departments and suppliers, release drawings, and confirm quality assurance.
Investigate and resolve field quality and manufacturing concerns.
Knowledge of CAD (NX Cad preferred)
International travel and early/late working hours as business needs dictate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSME or BSEE required
Minimum of 1 year (including internship) automotive experience at a supplier or OEM.
