Linux Systems Administrator

Are you an experienced Linux Systems Administrator the cleared space? If so, we are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Charleston, SC. These are critical times in the world of cyber security and Parsons need your help to make us a little bit more secure. This is your chance to help us with this vital mission.  

Possesses the ability to communicate technical knowledge and direction through briefs, System Performance Specifications (SPS), System Design Descriptions (SDD), Test Plans and Test Reports, System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT), Implementation Plans and other documentation as well as participate in technical reviews of these deliverables. 

  • Possesses the ability to track and prioritize all submitted Trouble Tickets, Help Desk calls (from CIMS), and CASREPS.

  • Possesses the ability to maintain all ISEA equipment at current baseline except during approved testing in addition to maintaining an accurate lab drawing and IP addressing scheme.

  • Possesses the ability to troubleshoot fielded systems, test new systems/configurations in a lab environment, and actively participate in technical meetings.

  • Possesses the knowledge and ability to ensure systems are in compliance with DISA STIGs in addition to knowledge of performing ACAS scans.

  • Possesses the ability to work well, integrate, coordinate, and knowledge share with the STACC team.

  • Possesses ability to provide recommendations to facilitate enhancements of existing technology through the use of the STACC Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process.

 

Qualifications

Certifications or Demonstrated Experience: 

Required:

  • RHEL/Linux

  • Minimum DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certification requirements

  • Active security clearance

     

    Desired:

  • NetApp Storage

  • VMware

  • VEEAM Backup

  • Enterprise PKI/DoD CAC deployments and Enterprise level Access, Authorization, and Authorization (AAA) Solutions
