Associate Brand Manager

KIK Consumer Brands – Pool Division

KIK’s Pool Additives Division (“Pool”) is a leading player in North America and key international markets with a broad brand and product portfolio spanning both the Mass and Specialty Retailer channels. We are well known for our Clorox®Pool&Spaproducts in the North American Mass channel, our BioGuard® brand in the North American, Australian and South Africa Specialty channel, and our Bayrol brand across Europe. Our multi-functional product formulations and innovative water testing innovations allow pool owners to safely and easily enjoy their backyard retreat. 

Our Pool Division is currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals for the position of Associate Brand Manager in our Lawrenceville, GA office. This role will report to the Brand Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement growth strategies for assigned brands and product categories by identifying market opportunities and key drivers (where to play, how to win)
  • Manage the development and introduction of new products and continuous improvement of existing products in cooperation with R&D to provide a full line of differentiated products, each meeting target consumer needs and offering the highest competitive value
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Sales, Technology, Logistics, Regulatory and Marketing Communications to achieve all operational targets and meet channel/purchase requirements
  • Develop & execute effective consumer marketing programs that align with brand strategy and campaigns to ensure attainment of sales and profitability objectives; conduct analysis to ensure programs are appropriate
  • Continually monitor business trends, competitive activity to identify risks and opportunities, course correct as necessary, and communicate recommendations to management
  • Lead market research initiatives to validate new product innovation, product portfolio enhancements, and brand messaging
  • Translate insights/trend data into actionable plans that create value-add versus competition and effectively communicates product advantages to consumers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Management (MBA or current MBA candidates preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Brand or Marketing experience in a Consumer Products business, preferably with brands selling to DIY retailers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategy development, market analysis, project management, new product development as well as packaging, promotions, and pricing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical ability, decision making, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strength in cross-functional management; ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Must be self-driven to achieve goals; high energy level is essential.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
