Mechanical Engineer with CAD experience

Our client as an immediate need for a ME with CAD. This is a a Tier 1 automotive supplier that is growing and needs good engineers. You need at least two years of experience. This is  a direct position with excellent benefits.

Essential Functions
1. Perform preliminary design and develop drawings and specifications necessary to support the development of new products and modification of existing products working across a global organization.
2. Perform complex calculations to determine performance analysis, stress analysis, tolerances, etc.
3. Perform testing and evaluation of theoretical designs; recommend modifications based on results.
4. Serve as primary technical resource for assigned new and existing devices.
5. Develop and execute mechanical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and coordinate product implementation utilizing both internal and external resources.
6. Research solutions to technical problems and recommend cost effective resolution approaches.
7. Develop and present in customer presentations related to new product development and/or product modifications and enhancements.

Required Skills and Knowledge
1. Advanced computer skills, including the use of CAD solid modeling, NX10 or CATIA V5 preferred
2. Understanding of design parameters for metal stamping and injection molded components preferred.
3. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing quality tools, including the Design, Failure, Mode, and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
4. Lead the mechanical portion of a electromechanical design, using skills such as planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, and some project management.
5. Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization, with both technical and non technical customers, including group presentation.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
7. Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
