Mechanical Process Engineer

POSITION TITLE:                Process Engineer Mechanical

POSITION SUMMARY:       Responsible for the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing systems of plant. Troubleshooting of mechanical problems and issues related to production.  

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY:

  1. Installation, troubleshooting and debugging of machinery.
  2. Ensures preventative maintenance, equipment repair, new installation, and other engineering work are completed in a timely manner, and with minimum disruption to production.
  3. Responds to line problems to ensure production schedules are met.
  4. Work on projects for improvement to processes.
  5. Train Associates on Safety and troubleshooting.
  6. Determine feasibility and cost of recommended improvements to the process with written justification of the recommendation.
  7. All other duties as assigned. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related degree.
  2. 2-3 years of relevant experience
  3. Ladder Logic skills
  4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team building skills
  5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  6. Training in Lean Six Sigma
  7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
