Job Description:

The TechHire Grant Director oversees program development, fiscal activities and program staff to successfully provide innovative approaches to training that leads to rapid employment in technology and other in-demand fields.
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

Plans, directs, coordinates and oversees the operations of the TechHire grant which includes planning, organizing, implementing, staffing, leading and directing program activities

Oversees all consultants and serves as a point of contact for partner organizations

Hires, supervises and evaluates full-time and part-time staff for the program

Manages grant budget to ensure that funds are spent according to grant requirement deliverables

Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as needed

Prepares project reports for presentation to MDC leadership and partnering organizations

Provides program content expertise including communication of the grant’s purpose and value proposition

Oversees data collection and submission of quarterly budget and progress reports

Analyzes and reports evaluation findings to the Executive Director and makes recommendations for program development as appropriate
 
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and seven (7) years of relevant experience

All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures

Advanced working knprogram managementowledge of grant management and grant process reporting

Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility

Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposes

Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
