Neurofeedback Technician

Under the direction of a Board Certified Neurofeedback Fellow, a Neurofeedback Technician administers training sessions for those with neuropsychological symptoms.

The Neuroconnection is a Brain Mapping and neurofeedback practice in Naperville, IL. We are looking to add an individual to our team due to growth. Candidates include individuals that have experience working with the special needs population. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

• Set up individual session before client arrives.
• Check in with client/parent at each visit regarding changes in behavior or problems after previous session.  Inquire about any medication changes or additional treatments being performed.
• Understand electrode placement and measure electrode placement for each client ensuring proper alignment.
• Ensure any new medications, behavior concerns or problems are brought to practitioner’s attention immediately.
• Run neurofeedback training sessions for individual clients
• Chart client/parent comments and own observations after each appointment.
• Be familiar with individual clients’ QEEG and how it correlates with symptoms.
• Review patient’s progress, update symptom checklists, review updated maps in weekly supervision meetings, review client/parent concerns and understand client’s goals for training.
• Other research assignments and duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counseling, Neuroscience, or Biology.
• Experience and understanding of individuals with special needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of neurofeedback and 10-20 placement system desired, but will train.
