Replenishment Buyer

Utilizing knowledge of demand planning and forecasting, procurement, distribution operations, and transportation, the RSC Replenishment Buyer determines the procurement strategy to best meet operational goals of the organization.  He/She exercises independent judgment and discretion in problem solving complex, multi-stakeholder, replenishment related issues.

Job Description:

Independently determine the timing and quantity of items to buy based on a detailed understanding of historical events and forecasting indicators

Meet or exceed individual and division service levels performance indicators including:

·       Inventory loss minimization

·       Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH)

·       Customer Order Fill Rates

·       Cost Accuracy

·       Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reserve

·       Managed Cases/Freight Income

·       Inbound Cases/Pallet

·       Slow and Dead Inventory

Interpret multiple sources of information in order to determine the best course of action to meet customer specific requirements.

Anticipate potential replenishment issues by utilizing reports and other demand planning tools in a disciplined and timely fashion.

Manage accurate costs in replenishment systems based on vendor price lists, PO confirmations, and vendor invoice reconciliations.  

Analyze and adjust system forecasts utilizing AWR based on daily review of product movement including seasonality, market trends, and probability of anticipated sales.

Collaborate with Category Management on developing the correct inventory portfolio for each Division.

Accurately set up and maintain new vendor and product records.

Manage division controlled product information; i.e., commodity indicator, breakability, tie-hi, forecasts.

Execute monthly market analysis buy-in opportunities while balancing the offset of additional expense from increased inventories. (IE: Cost of $, Dumps, etc.)
