Technical Artist

POSITION:     Technical Artist
DEPARTMENT:   Art

Job Summary
Work on game development with other artists, software engineers, mathematicians, sound engineers and producers to design and implement the latest generation of cutting edge casino games.
Reviews and tests games to ensure game products conform to design and regulatory standards. Strong problem solving and communication skills required.

Qualifications Required
Education: High school or equivalent. College Degree (Preferred).
Skills & Abilities: Problem solver with strong written and oral communication. A solid design background, including graphics design, compositing, 3D Modeling and animation. Some scripting and sound experience is a plus. Create compelling particle systems and special effects to enhance the look and feel of the game.
Highly skilled in 3D programs such as 3Ds max and Unity. Specializes in 3D Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, and compositing.
Possess knowledge of current game art creation techniques, implementing real time 2D and 3D graphics. Knowledge of the gaming industry is also helpful.
Software: Proficiency in Photoshop, After Effects, Unity, 3D Studio Max or equivalent 3D modeling and animation program. Experience with Illustrator a plus.
Must be able to implement artwork in a timely manner with top quality craftsmanship, and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
§ Acts as a bridge between Art and Engineering to smooth the production flow. Works with artists to help streamline their productivity.
§ Implements game content, including graphics, sounds, and animations in a game engine.
§ Work on enhancing game play by developing timing and pacing of game events through choreographing graphics and animations, as well as creating original art assets and designs as required.
§ Support game development team by preparing, formatting, compressing, exporting, and laying out graphics, including mocking up new game concepts and promotional materials.
§ Ensures final assets meet performance requirements for target platform through optimization and best practices.
§ Support games from the design to release phase, as well as ongoing support of games through various development milestones, including localizing game content into multiple languages for international release.
§ Creation of original art, animations, and game assets as directed by management.
