Strategy Business Analyst

Overview: Corporate Strategy Practice

Humana’s Corporate Strategy Practice partners with executives across the organization to solve the company’s most pressing issues and challenges. The practice is a small team that works on high-profile corporate and business unit strategy projects, positioning the practice at the forefront of helping to define the future direction of the company. As a team member, you will assume high impact roles analyzing industry, market, and competitive trends, developing go-to-market priorities, and identifying operating model implications. Recent projects include developing growth strategies, evaluating key merger and acquisition opportunities, conducting market and competitor analysis, and creating new approaches to innovation and product development.

 

The role: Strategy Business Analyst, Corporate Strategy

Humana’s executive leadership team prioritizes the company’s highest level strategic challenges for the Corporate Strategy practice. As a Business Analyst within the practice, you will work with fellow team members on small teams identifying solutions and recommendations. You’ll assist with deconstructing issues and challenges, conducting targeted research and analysis, and crafting sound, logical solutions and recommendations. You’ll also help to identify implementation considerations for recommendations, and help to transition work from your project into execution by business owners. While doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow team members, and to interact with subject matter experts and leaders across the company.

 

You’ll build skills and capabilities by working closely with experienced Corporate Strategy practitioners who will help you to define and to meet your developmental and career goals. You will also have the opportunity to attend practice-wide training sessions that cover key Corporate Strategy skills and capabilities. As you progress, you will have the opportunity to advance within the Corporate Strategy practice or to transition into an operational management role.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing analysis and/or work streams within high-profile, high-impact strategy projects
  • Assisting with interviews and working sessions with leaders across the company
  • Conducting industry, market, competitor, and financial analysis and identifying insightful implications for Humana and its business units
  • Creating high quality analysis and sections of deliverables that clearly frame objectives, issues and challenges, and articulate compelling, insightful findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Working collaboratively with fellow team members and leaders across the company

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement. Applicants must list their cumulative GPA on their resume

·       Strong problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis

·       Strong record of leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities

·       Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

·       Ability to relocate to Louisville, Kentucky, where our corporate headquarters is located. Relocation assistance will be provided
