  • Knowledge of mechanical simulations

  • High level proficiency of mechanical fundamentals including design tolerances and GD&T

  • CAD Proficiency

  • Strong modelling capabilities

  • Experience with hands on testing/evaluation of system performance

  • Familiar with industry standard environmental and electrical design and test standards

  • Experience using latest equipment including scopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and photonic testers

  • Strong work ethic to support Product team design efforts and timing

  • Digital and analog design experience

  • Experience with simulation tools and schematic capture

  • Ability to travel as required


  • Support of product development tasks with broad technical knowledge

  • Ensure product designs are compliant with applicable design standards & Bill of Design

  • Perform requirements analysis of customer specifications

  • Generation of math models and drawings

  • Support technical interface to the customer and various internal departments

  • Perform and evaluate mechanical simulations

  • Cooperation with other competencies in the concept development of new products

  • Design products that meet functional and electrical requirements.

  • Develop product schematics and oversee layout.

  • Develop new circuit building blocks and new components

  • Conduct detailed benchmarking, competitive and cost-tradeoff analysis for area of responsibility

  • Perform simulations, worst case analysis, FMEAs, fault tree analysis and similar design disciplines to ensure compliance to customer requirements

  • Support hardware prototype builds, bench level debugging, testing and prototyping
